About Our Council
St. Isaac Jogues Council [10462] was founded in 1994 through the efforts of Reverend Robert Hoeffner.  It is named after St. Isaac Jogues, who was a martyred Jesuit missionary, who preached to the Mohawks and was killed on October 18, 1646. The St. Isaac Jogues Council [10462] works closely with St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Parish in Orlando, providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in the parish.

Our parish was formed in May 1987 to alleviate crowded conditions in the parishes of southeast Orlando, to better accommodate growth in our area and to better serve the religious needs of the Catholics in Southeast Orange County. The vision for our parish was to become a center of worship and service, a community of care and outreach, a place to gather and to be the presence of Jesus Christ in our world.

We have grown greatly in the years since 1987. The increase is due directly to the ownership of the people, young and old, who want St. Isaac Jogues to continue as a vibrant Catholic force in our community. Our parish tries to be a community of good stewards. That means that as a member you are aware of your need to give thanks for God's many blessings by sharing a significant and sacrificial portion of your time, talent and treasure with the parish.
